What would you sacrifice to watch your football team win the FA Cup final?

For a team of Hammers' fans from Catlin the game was too important to miss. It seems, however, that Stephen Catlin isn't a fan of the beautiful game.

The five senior managers were told to attend three managerial away days that would eat into the weekend. Twice the season ticket holders asked to leave early so they could watch their team carry the trophy home, twice they were refused.

Now some loyal fans would be so angry that they might even resign, but Catlin must pay its staff well. One manager hired a helicopter to fly the staff to Cardiff and see West Ham lift the cup for the first time in 26 years....

Unfortunately the script wasn't written this way, as the Hammers lost, albeit on penalties. But the Catlin boys must have deemed it worthwhile, given their team's passionate performance against a lucky bunch of scousers.
