Deal enhances CBG’s science and technology initiative

CBG Group has bolstered its drive into the science and technology sector after being appointed by Nanoco Group, the .

CBG will provide a package of insurance cover, which includes asset and business interruption protection, general liabilities and professional indemnity insurance.

Nanoco was spun out from The University of Manchester in 2005 and has since built a business based around the development and manufacture of quantum dots and other nanomaterials.

James Adler, account executive for CBG’s science and technology initiative, said: “Nanoco is at the cutting-edge of its sector. The commercial relationships it has formed with major companies in the Far East underline the strength of its technology.

“It was essential that the company’s insurance cover protected its existing requirements, whilst also being flexible enough to accommodate future growth and additional exposures that may develop.”


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
