Short tax memories

So, 57.8% of responding Insurance Times readers would vote Conservative (News, 31March)?

Furthermore, many of this apparent 57.8% must have short memories, as indeed must Tory spokesman John Redwood when he writes "an insurance industry that votes Conservative will be protected from increased taxes".

Let it never be forgotten that it was a Conservative government that introduced insurance premium tax, that particularly regressive tax that hits private individuals, small businesses and big business alike, and directly penalises the thrifty and the responsible for taking out insurance.
