When an email entitled "Three brokers, two underwriters and one barmaid indulge in a tandem skydive" dropped into Backchat's inbox this week, it goes without saying that we were somewhat intrigued. On 8 August, Wellington liability underwriter Timothy Simpson-Lee, RL Davison property broker Neil Bixby, UK placing broker at Maestro Tasker, Steve Collier, UK placing broker at Folgate Tara Kelly and fine art underwriting assistant at Wellington syndicate Joshila Tailor will skydive in tandem in aid of Cancer Research and the Cancer Hospice. Well done to all those brave souls, but special congratulations must go to keen skydiver Simpson-Lee, who is organising the stunt, for getting Kim, the barmaid from Montague Cellars Wine Bar (formerly Drakes), to also jump.
