Mark Aaron’s hire completes new international liability team

Lloyd’s insurer Chaucer has hired Mark Aaron as class underwriter for general liability. Aaron’s appointment completes the recruitment for Chaucer’s new international liability division.

The unit is headed by Mark Lawrence. Chaucer announced the appointment of Ian Noble as professional indemnity class underwriter for Syndicate 1084 in May as part of the division’s development. He will join the company in November.

Chaucer’s international liability division’s proposed income for 2011 is £40m. It will primarily target professional indemnity, which Chaucer intends will make up more than 50% of the division’s book, and general liability, which will account for more than 25%.

The division’s maximum line size will range from £10m to £15m.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
