Flood plain maps showing people if their home is at risk of flooding have been launched online by the Environment Agency at environment-agency.gov.uk. It can be accessed by entering the postcode of the property. Figures from the British Market Research Bureau show that 50% of people who live in flood risk areas are unaware of the potential danger to their property.
