The insurance industry is unprepared for a terrorist attack, AXA warned today.
AXA claims director David Williams said he had doubts about the industry's ability to respond to "disruptive events".
Williams said: "I have doubts about how prepared we are as an industry. If you look in detail, there are not necessarily disaster contingency plans in place."
He added: "We need plans on shelves and it is a worry. I wonder if we're thinking about the specifics of a terrorist attack - access to site will cause problems, for example, will adjusters be allowed on the site."
