Click for Cover, the Lloyd's underwriting agency, has changed its name to CFC Underwriting with immediate effect.

CFC managing director David Walsh said: "The core of CFC remains the underwriting of technology risks but we a re broadening our operations to become a specialist underwriter for other niche lines of business."

The company had outgrown its brand, and now was the right time to change the name to reflect a broader underwriting capability, added Walsh.

Two new appointments, Andy Holmes and Jonathan Swann, both formerly of Syndicate 1047, have joined CFC, to develop insurance products in the niche professional indemnity and professional liability areas, said the company.

Swann was formerly the active underwriter at Syndicate 1047. Holmes was previously line underwriter for Syndicate 1047.
