Fortis to continue sport and leisure partnership despite team exit

Fortis says it has no plans to end its existing sport and leisure partnership with broker Kerry London.

It follows Insurance Times's story last week that Kerry London's five strong sport and leisure team had left the company.

Fortis said it is approaching the start of the third year of its relationship with Kerry London in the sport and leisure sector.

The insurer said both companies have reinforced their commitment to the partnership going forward having exceeded growth targets for the period to date.

Mark Cliff, managing director of Fortis Insurance said: "We have been extremely pleased with the progress made with Kerry London in the sports and leisure market, where we are seeing ahead of target performance.

"This further builds on the strength of our existing relationship with the Kerry London Group and I'm confident that as we work together we will continue to see significant long-term growth in this market."

Kerry London chairman Joe Kelliher, said: "We have been delighted with the progress that has been made in this sector and continue to expand our product base.

"These products will continue to be available to the broker community. Fortis have made an excellent partner and we look forward to continuing this growth together over the coming years."
