CMGL, the provider of insurance management services, has announced the launch of CMGL Corporate Risk Solutions, a new business unit specialising in the prevention, detection and investigation of business risks including insurance fraud and white-collar fraud.

CMGL said the team will be led by John Halls who returns to the company after six years at Omni Whittington and Axiom. He originally joined CMGL in 1994.

John Halls is joined by Tony Brightwell and John Cassey. Brightwell previously worked with the Metropolitan Police serving in the Fraud Squad division at New Scotland Yard.

Cassey previously worked for HM Customs and Excise.

CMGL said the core team will be enhanced through the use of trusted external consultants who are specialists in their own field of expertise.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
