The hull and liability coverage for the Air France jet that crash-landed in Toronto yesterday is led by the aviation insurance pool La Réunion Aérienne of Paris.
The plane, en route from Paris to Toronto, overran the runway and then burst into flames. There were no fatalities, but 43 people were injured according to a statement by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.
An aviation brokerage source has reported that the plane was valued at about $131m.
