Lloyd's broker raids Miller for new terror boss

JLT has appointed Kelly Crouch as head of terrorism within its credit, political & security risk team.

Crouch has joined JLT from Miller where she worked within the risk team specialising in terrorism insurance for 7 years.

Nick Robson, head of credit, political & security risk at JLT, said "Kelly is a great addition to our team as we look to build our specialist expertise in this area. With terrorist activity increasing and evolving, never has the need been so great to protect assets. Many banks require terrorism insurance before they fund projects, while good corporate governance also demands sufficient cover. Yet many insurance policies now exclude losses arising from terrorist acts and some government-backed insurance facilities have limitations that can lead to inconsistencies in cover across different countries for international companies".

Crouch added: "I am delighted to be joining a market leader in terrorism insurance, and one of the largest global political risk insurance brokers. JLT's specialist Credit, Political & Security Risk teams have substantial knowledge of all regions worldwide and work alongside stakeholders including banks, sponsors and legal counsels.

"JLT's insurance experts and risk analysts create tailored programmes to meet individual needs, and enhance government-backed solutions, using a systematic methodology to help quantify, prioritise and minimise your exposure to terrorism risk
