Managing agency Crowe Syndicate Management this week announced wide-ranging changes to its business for the 2001 year of account.

The group has announced big capacity increases for two of its non-life operations, while two other syndicates will be discontinued in 2001.

Crowe's motor syndicate 963 will increase capacity from £125m in 2000 to £145m in 2001. The group's new professional indemnity syndicate and medical malpractice syndicate 1204 also hopes to increase capacity by 30%, subject to Lloyd's approval.

Syndicate 982 plans to profit from opportunities in the life market that will occur following the withdrawal of some other syndicates.
