Lloyd's Chairman's Strategy Group (CSG) programme director Steven Haasz is set to take over the training of franchisor and franchisee staff.

As of 1 July this year, Haasz will also take on the responsibility for human resources within the corporation, which includes the Lloyd's training centre that provides training for both Lloyd's staff and the franchisees/market employees.

He will replace the present director of human resources Geoff Morgan who retires on 30 June.

Franchise performance director Rolf Tolle has already asked all 43 managing agents to submit their business plans for assessment.

Regular monitoring of the managing agents' performance and information gathering within the market will become standard practice, according to Haasz.

Haasz said: "My dual role as head of change management and human resources will help to ensure that the whole of the corporation and the market are involved in the franchise implementation programme.

"I hope in the future to be able to raise professional standards to an even higher level across the corporation and the Lloyd's franchise."
