Alliance Health has created a programme to help tackle the perennial ‘flu outbreak that can lay waste a company's workforce in the winter months.
An estimated 150 million working days are lost due to ‘flu-related illnesses, at a cost of £6.75bn each year, according to figures from the Consumer Health Information Centre.
Wiltshire-based Alliance Health has devised a ‘flu protection programme that can be tailored to the individual needs of different organisations.
Employees can be offered immunisation by either injection or a course of antiviral capsules to use when ‘flu strikes.
The organisation can also be provided with surveillance information and Quickvue influenza tests kits that can act as an early warning system.
