Direct writers and insurers with links to the travel industry have a better reputation than those without links, according to a new study by Datamonitor.

The study found that insurers not directly associated with the travel trade have reported minimal effects since the downturn that has occurred after September 11.

The research also found that there is a growing awareness among consumers of alternative travel insurance providers and the expense associated with travel agents.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
