A stress claim brought by a university professor against Leeds University has been successfully contested by DLA lawyers.
Professor Esmail Foumeny went on sick leave from the university in July 1997 and was dismissed in November 1999 when seven out of 13 allegations constituting misconduct were upheld by a tribunal.
The professor claimed that his employers persecuted him and drove him to a nervous breakdown.
But in a judgement at Leeds Crown Court His Honour Judge Grenfell said: "Nothing could be further from the truth."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
