Two shaggy dog stories have come to our attention this week.

Be on the lookout for Churchill CDs going cheap. It seems that a courier was delivering a number of Churchill's Bakshelf Dog CDs to the National Canine Defence League, when he left his bike for a moment. You've guessed it, someone nicked the CDs while he wasn't looking.

Our second story has a happier ending. Mischievous mutt Max has been sent to the doghouse after nearly burning down his owner's home. The boxer pup set the blaze by igniting the gas cooker with his paws as he tried to gobble up food on the hob.

Fire restoration firm Munters have now presented Max with his very own "dog house".

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
