Many insurers and brokers give to charity or send their staff out to give something back to society. Backchat has heard of sponsored walks, working in soup kitchens, building children's playgrounds, but one recent jaunt from AXA caught his eye for being just a little bit different.

As part of AXA's Heart's in Action Community Challenge 2004, a group of employees took time out to build a climbing frame for pygmy goats! The volunteers built the climbing frame to a design supplied by the staff at Baylham Rare Breeds Farm.

Richard Storer of Baylham Rare Breeds Farm said: "The pygmy goats love climbing. But they had only a small tree stump in their pen to amuse them. The staff at the farm thought a climbing frame would be a great idea to keep the goats stimulated and designed the climbing frame for the AXA team to build. The team have done a fantastic job and the goats seem to love it."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
