Dual International has achieved €100m in gross written premiums for 2006, a 26.5% increase on the previous year.

The liability specialist's UK operation, Dual Corporate Risks, contributed €40m in GWP.

Russell Kilpatrick, managing director of Dual Corporate Risks, said: “This is an outstanding achievement by our teams both in London and Manchester. We have achieved impressive growth in the last three years – particularly in the D&O market. Over 40% of our new D&O business came from clients who were previously uninsured.”

Chairman of Dual International, Luis Muñoz-Rojas, commented: “Our group's strategic focus on mid-market business is paying dividends at a time when others are suffering from the challenging market conditions. Brokers are tired of working with insurance providers who consistently fail to live up to expectations.

"Our service is responsive, professional and competitive, and we are constantly developing new market opportunities. Dual is a pioneer not a settler and that, I believe, is the secret to our success and the foundation upon which we will continue to grow.”

Dual Corporate Risks is planning to diversify into other product lines in 2007.
