Hyperion underwriting arm promotes COO Paul Ferris

Dual International has appointed Paul Ferris as chief underwriting officer with effect from 1st October 2009.

Ferris was previously Dual International’s chief operating officer and has been with the Hyperion Group since 1997.

Prior to joining the Hyperion Group, Ferris was the claims manager at Nelson Hurst & Marsh (now part of Lockton).

Bob Van Gieson, chief executive and chairman of Dual International, said: “I am delighted that Paul will be stepping into this new role. As our business grows, so too does the importance of central underwriting oversight and controls to ensure we maintain our underwriting focus in order to continue to deliver significant underwriting profits.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
