Elite Incident Management will be liquidated next year, according to insolvency practice Jeremy Knight & Co.

Insolvency practitioner Simon Knight told Insurance Times that a creditors meeting had been arranged for 4 January 2013 to discuss the formal arrangements of putting the company into liquidation.

He added that a “few staff had been handed their notices”, but refused to say exactly how many had lost their jobs.

The motor claims outsourcing company’s failure has been blamed on the loss of a major client earlier this month.

Elite ceased trading on Friday.
