Lloyd’s broker Endeavour launches technology and cyber facility and announces new head.

Lloyd’s broker Endeavour has appointed Tony Loizides to head its new technology and cyber facility.

Loizides’ career in insurance spans 28 years. He has previously worked as head of broking at Lloyd’s broker Safeonline LLP, where he was responsible for lines including cyber, financial, professional and intellectual property.

Loizides commented on his appointment: “The opportunity to be part of the successful journey that is unfolding at Endeavour, the entrepreneurial attitude that is allowed to flourish, allied to its commitment as an independent employee owned Lloyd’s broker, was simply too good to pass up.”

“I value the expertise and diligence with which Endeavour takes care of its clients’ needs and I am looking forward to developing new opportunities and distribution methods to grow their business even further,” Loizides added.

Endeavour places cyber liability cover on a worldwide scale, in addition to its other areas of business.

Endeavour chairman and chief executive David Lawrence hopes that in addition to the creation of an online platform that will “address the SME cyber space”, there will also be offline opportunities in the mid-market for developing ways to make risk management easier.

“This is the next step in the growth of Endeavour with an exciting new business offering to an arena where organisations may not have immediate access to this class of insurance.” Lawrence said.

“Given recent events, Cyber protection is fast becoming a major consideration in future risk management. The project to develop Cyber in this way is a medium term investment for us and I am delighted that somebody with such understanding and class knowledge as Tony Loizides has bought into the Endeavour story.”
