EU Gender Directive ends premium increase threat

Women and equality minister Jacqui Smith said today the EU Gender Directive would end the threat of increased premiums for women drivers.

According to Smith, the directive would still allow UK insurance firms to use gender as a basis of risk if objective data could justify the difference.
