Roger Crowther returns to market with The PI Desk
Three former Towergate employees have set up a new underwriting agency called The PI Desk which will sell professional indemnity cover for independent financial advisers (IFAs) and other occupations.
Managing director Roger Crowther is joined by senior underwriters Amanda Kelly and Nicola Badger, whom he worked with at Towergate.
Crowther was managing director at Towergate Lifestyle, which sells PI cover to mortgage brokers and IFAs until 18 months ago.
He left Towergate last July to care for his wife Diane, whom he lost to cancer in January.
“It has very been a tough year for me losing Diane to cancer, but I have my old underwriting team with me and we are ready to go looking forward to new challenges and building new relationships over the next few years,” he said.
The PI Desk is a Lloyd’s coverholder with capacity from Argo for IFA PI products and from Arch for indemnity cover for other professions.
It will start trading later this month.
