With Helen Mirren winning the best actress award for The Queen at last week's Oscars, another Royal has the accolade of being named the February QBE Fantasy Football Manager of the Month.

Reading fan Pete Graham – a Loyal Royal – and his team, the appropriately named Royal's Appointment, clocked up 63 points in February to take the top spot thanks to his faith in Steve Coppell's men.

"Leroy Lita [the Reading striker] did it for me this month," enthuses Graham, a liability underwriter at QBE – the first time a QBE member of staff has won the manager of the month award.

Over the course of the season Graham has also benefited by including Reading striker Kevin Doyle, before he got injured and Reading defender Nicky Shorey, who have notched up 45 points between them.

"Many people under estimated the strength of the Reading team – but not me," says six foot six Graham.

Chris Houghton's All Stop! remains the top of the fantasy league for the entire season so far, with an impressive total of 391 points.

This is largely thanks to his inclusion of Man Utd's Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea's Didier Drogba.

Matthew Hewitt's The Ideal Toffeemen remains second, only two points behind the leader.
