Return to global broker for ex-Guy Carpenter chief executive

Marsh has announced that ex-Guy Carpenter chief executive Keith Fenwick has been appointed to lead its Norwich office, the company’s largest outside of London in the UK.

Fenwick, who has worked in the industry for over 35 years, joins Marsh from JLT Re, where he was chief operating officer for five years.

From 2000 to 2005 he was UK chief executive of Marsh’s sister company Guy Carpenter, and was previously chief operating officer of Marsh’s UK financial and professional practice.

Fenwick will oversee the management and development of Marsh’s current Norwich-based activities.

He said: “Norwich enjoys a hard-earned reputation among the insurance community for having an excellent blend of the people and skills required to deliver world-class insurance programmes. I look forward to nurturing and developing Marsh’s presence in Norwich.”

Marsh UK and Ireland chief executive Martin South said: “I am delighted that Keith has returned to Marsh to lead and develop our business in Norwich. His deep knowledge of our organisation, combined with his impressive track record in managing businesses and improving operations and working practices, make him exceptionally well qualified to lead our Norwich office.”
