Ilie Nastase, the bad boy of the tennis in the 1970s, will be turning back the clock on June 20-23 at the Hurlingham Club in central London.

Nastase will be there to take part in The Marsh Classic. He will be joined by a host of former tennis stars for the seven-year-old event, which Marsh is sponsoring for the first time.

Other former aces invited include Bjorn Borg, Mats Wilander, Henri Leconte and Yannick Noah.

With it being held only a few days before Wimbledon, the Marsh Classic will also give a glimpse of today's stars, who will be warming up on the grass courts.

In previous years, exhilarating tennis has been provided by Pete Sampras, Tim Henman and Greg Rusedski.

Nastase said: "The atmosphere at Hurlingham is very special, different from any other tournament, it's a real pleasure to be involved."

David Trezies, chairman of Marsh, said: As the new sponsors of this title, we look forward to welcoming our guests to this delightful event."
