Start up company to help brokers

Ex-Allianz commercial manager Lloyd Hanks is heading up a new lead-generation and marketing service for brokers called Origin.

The new company is targeting UK commercial brokers and has recently completed a six month pilot.

It claims to provide lead generation across the business and has a call centre operation.

Hanks said: “Despite all the rhetoric about the hard market, the reality for UK provincial brokers is that rates are still extremely soft and they urgently need solid income. There is therefore a gap for brokers and it is critical that any expenditure brokers allocate to close it must deliver.

"That is why Origin has been thoroughly tested so that, when we got to the launch stage, we could clearly demonstrate to brokers a significant return on their investment from the outset.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
