A former Name, Sally Noel, was ejected from the Lloyd's AGM.

Noel, who became a Name in 1978, has alleged that Lloyd's deceived her and others as to the liabilities they were taking on when investing in the market.

Noel claims she was not shown a document when she became a Name that made it clear she would be liable for claims arising prior to her joining Lloyd's.

At today's AGM, Noel made her allegations to Lloyd's chairman Lord Levene.

According to a Lloyd's spokeswoman, Levene made it clear to Noel that the AGM was not an appropriate place to raise such allegations.

He said he was aware of her complaints, but that they had never been substantiated in court.

Lloyd's said Noel was welcome to pursue her complaint through the appropriate legal channels.

Noel was asked to leave the meeting and was escorted from the room.
