With the FSA pressing the ‘on' button for statutory regulation last week, the industry is now waiting for clarification of the regulator's priorities for supervision.
Many are hoping that the FSA will now provide a helpful response to such questions as "which areas will you be looking at first?". In the past the regulator has provided useful responses along the lines of, "the operation of the rules". Helpfully specific.
