Loss adjuster GAB Robins has issued an amber alert amid flooding in the UK.

The alert means GAB has teams on the ground prepared to swoop into action at a moment’s notice.

Adjusters in Wales, Leeds, Portsmouth and Brighton are on standby, weekend working is in place and the service centre are waiting to take on extra capacity from calls.

GAB said there is more rainy weather on the way today heading across west England which could trigger further flooding.

A surge bulletin said: “These showers could produce 10-20mm of rain within an hour, whilst there is a low probability of 40-50mm falling within three hours in north and west Wales, Cornwall and west Devon, all of which has the
potential to cause localised flooding.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
