OIM division launches new product on PowerPlace

Athur J Gallagher’s e-trading underwriting unit has launched its first property owners product on PowerPlace.

e-Undewriting, a division of OIM, has launched a number of home and commercial products since it launched last year.

The latest product is aimed at residential let properties. It has a wide underwriting footprint to include non-standard risks spanning professional, DSS, student, asylum seeker and unoccupied rented properties.

The capacity is provided by Legal & General and is aimed at risks with premiums between £100 and £1,000.

Director Scott Banks said: “Online distribution has an increasingly important part to play in the SME trading landscape and we look forward to working closely with PowerPlace to help support the broking community.”

PowerPlace chief executive Nick Giddings said: “It is very exciting to have e-Underwriting on board. Launching the Property Owners product really strengthens our panel and ensures that we are well on our way to providing the most competitive and broker centric proposition in the market.”
