Alison Davey returns to PowerPlace from Towergate

PowerPlace has made two appointments in a drive to develop the business further in the SME e-traded market for the broker community.

Alison Davey returns to PowerPlace as the business development manager for Wales.

She had previously been with PowerPlace since 2009, but left to join Towergate Underwriting as regional development manager in 2012.

Davey said: “It’s great to be returning to PowerPlace, which is without doubt the leading online marketplace for brokers.

“PowerPlace is in a fantastically strong position and I intend to ensure that our brokers are offered the utmost support.”

Also joining the team is Craig Morgan, who has been hired as regional broker account manager for the South West and Essex regions.

Prior to joining PowerPlace, Morgan was a new business account executive for TRS Camerasure driving new business, managing schemes and supporting brokers.

Morgan said: “Joining PowerPlace gives me a platform to utilise my existing knowledge of commercial insurance and sales within a strong team, allowing me to build good relationships with brokers and insurers, encouraging PowerPlace usage and growth within the industry.”

Speaking about the new appointments, PowerPlace chief executive Nick Giddings said: “PowerPlace has grown so much over the last 12 months and I am sure our new recruits will add a lot of value as we continue to reinforce our commitment to driving an SME e-traded market for the broker community.”

Earlier this year Towergate sold PowerPlace to Open GI for an undisclosed sum.
