One of Backchat’s chums found herself waking up to an unpleasant surprise on Monday.
The London Market reporter surfaced bleary-eyed at 5.30am to watch her television debut on CNN. But when the pre-recorded programme on war insurance in Israel began, she woke up with a start.
Instead of “Yvette Essen, Insurance Times” flashing up on screen during her interview, the title “Jon Guy, Insurance Day” appeared.
Horrified, she called the CNN newsdesk telling them “But I’m a woman”, and was informed there was a technical blip.
By 7.30am, the repeat screening had been rectified, but by then she had resorted to the safest place – back in bed.
