Consolidator to concentrate on core assets which can fuel growth

Giles is selling off its Life Sciences business, a small non-core part of the Giles group, which is based in Orpington.

Giles said the sale forms part of its stategy to focus on key growth areas including general commercial as well as specialism's such as PI, charities, motor trade, golf and transport.

Group managing director Sarah Lyons said: "Giles is focused on developing its core business through organic growth and acquisition," said managing director Sarah Lyons.

"The Life Sciences operation is a small part of Giles and as such is not a driver for future growth.

"We have taken to decision now to sell as part of our overall development strategy which will allow us to focus on those parts of the business where we see the most growth.”

She added: "We are committed to looking after existing Life Sciences clients throughout the divestment process.

"Giles is committed to growing the Orpington branch across all existing areas of business and have recently hired a regional sales director based in Orpington to drive our new business development."
