Buying motor insurance online can be cheap, but Backchat didn't realise quite how cheap it could be. While trawling through internet auction house ebay, Backchat came across someone selling a Tesco motor policy.
The seller, who described himself as "an insider who can get anyone cover for anything", was offering a lucky over 19-year-old cover for any vehicle up to a class 14. The starting bid was £24.90.
Backchat wonders whether this will be the new distribution method for 2003. But more importantly, is it legal?
