Senior appointments at MillerMiller Insurance Services has made three appointments to its reinsurance team.Jeremy Connor has been appointed director, reinsurance within the non-marine casualty team. Formerly senior vice president, broking at Guy Carpenter, Connor handled UK-based general liability, employers' liability and professional indemnity business.Anthony Gerolimich has been appointed associate director, reinsurance. His role at Miller will be to develop marine treaty business in Europe. He joins from PWS.Susanna Lam has been appointed director and general manager of Miller Insurance Services (Hong Kong) Ltd. Lam will assist with the placement of business into the Hong Kong reinsurance market, working closely with Miller colleagues in Taiwan, Malaysia and London.

Commercial Vehicle DirectGraham Powell has joined Commercial Vehicle Direct as managing director.Powell was previously HR, training and customer services director for Hill House Hammond.Commercial Vehicle Direct has appointed more than 80 new staff in the past six months.

The Beckett GroupLouise Faux has joined Beckett Healthcare as a senior sales consultant to handle corporate healthcare sales across the UK.Faux has 14 years' industry experience. She joins Beckett from Towry Law and was formerly a healthcare consultant with Bupa.

Royal & SunAllianceRoyal & SunAlliance has appointed David Page as group risk director and executive board member.Page, who joins from Aviva, replaces Rick Hudson, following his retirement. Page has previously held the roles of global finance transformation director and global business risk director at Aviva. He has also held risk and finance roles at Zurich, NatWest and Price-waterhouseCoopers.

Allianz CornhillJohn Warburton has been appointed sales and distribution manager for Allianz Cornhill Commercial.Warburton has spent seven years at Commercial Union (CU), including three years in Hong Kong and Beijing. On leaving CU he set up an internet travel insurance intermediary, gosure.com, which is still trading. He has also worked at Accenture in strategy consulting for banks and insurance companies.In addition, Michael Markwell has been appointed musical instrument manager at Allianz Cornhill Musical Insurance, based in Tunbridge Wells.Responsible for marketing and account development, Markwell has four years' industry experience. He has spent three years as a management trainee at Allianz Cornhill working in the commercial, schemes and global risks areas.

HCC Insurance HoldingsHCC Insurance Holdings has appointed Pamela Penny as senior vice president of finance.Penny has 27 years of accounting experience, including 12 years with KPMG, where she became an audit partner. Most recently she was senior vice president and controller for Aegis Mortgage Corporation.

Omni WhittingtonOmni Whittington has made two senior appointments to the board of its Lloyd's managing agency.Neil Deshpande, who has 20 years' experience of the Lloyd's market, is appointed managing director of Omni Whittington Capital Management (OWCM). He takes over from Omni's chief executive of UK operations, Tony Hobrow, who will be focusing on his other responsibilities within the group. Deshpande has held a variety of positions with Cassidy Davis Insurance Group, including managing director, chief operating officer and finance director.In addition, OWCM has appointed Nick Wooldridge as director of underwriting.Wooldridge has worked in the industry for 27 years, specialising in underwriting reinsurance. Most recently he advised international reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter and Lloyd's of London on reinsurance to close for syndicates with open years of account.

GroupamaGroupama Healthcare has made three appointments to its management team.Malcolm Simpson has been appointed personal accident/travel underwriting manager. Simpson was previously technical development manager for Groupama. Alan Bellingham becomes private medical insurance (PMI) technical underwriting manager. Bellingham was previously PMI underwriting manager and has been at Groupama for four years.Katherine Newberry is underwriting and operations manager for Groupama Healthcare. Newberry will provide overall management and direction to the underwriting operation units. She was formerly accident and health technical pricing and operations manager.
