Lloyd's Names have been told by the Treasury that there is no reason to prevent them converting to limited liability partnerships (LLP).
The Association of Lloyd's Members (ALM) believes that most Names are likely to convert to LLPs.
ALM chairman Michael Deeny said, “ It was an important achievement of Lloyd's to persuade the government a year ago to treat Names converting to limited liability like other unlimited traders”.
