Motor fleet specialist to become senior underwriter
Niche commercial underwriting specialist Xbroker has appointed David Grimsey as its senior fleet underwriter.
Grimsey has more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, having previously held positions at RSA and QBE, where he was responsible for underwriting complex and conventional motor fleet business. His clients included high-turnover, blue-chip companies.
Moorhouse subsidiary Xbroker has appointed Grimsey to promote the further expansion of its new motor fleet product. His main responsibility will be growth of the motor fleet business in the south and east.

“He also has a track record of delivering a profit in the motor fleet arena, keen market insight and vast underwriting experience to ensure he plays a key role in developing our growing fleet business.”
The appointment follows the recent addition of Alpha Insurance A/S – in collaboration with Swiss Re – to Xbroker’s panel of capacity providers.
The company says the two moves will enable it to continue to expand its range of innovative insurance solutions to brokers. A portfolio of new products is currently being developed and is due to be launched later this year.
