Groupama has enhanced its product for small fleets in a bid to extend its appeal to SMEs.
The insurer’s Optima Small Fleet product will now cover vehicles registered in a director’s name.
The company said this was in recognition of the fact that a large proportion of directors and owners of small businesses have their company car registered under their own name.
It said this was particularly important in light of the impending corporate manslaughter legislation as it helps to ensure that all vehicles being used by the company are adequately insured for business travel.
Groupama’s online Optima Small Fleet product is for fleets of between five to 15 vehicles.
