Insurer looking to grow SME and commercial motor business

Groupama’s new head of commercial distribution, Allison Andrews, has promised to foster close working relationships with brokers as the French insurer looks to grow its commercial lines business.

Andrews will run a team of seven key account managers working on the insurer’s growing SME and commercial motor business. She will report to commercial director Malcolm Smith.

Andrews said: “We need to make sure that we are looking after and supporting our brokers, talking to them and explaining how they will benefit having Groupama as the market choice.”

Smith said: “Allison will be a key force in developing and implementing Groupama’s commercial distribution strategy, central to which is building strong relationships with regional commercial brokers, broker networks and affinity groups, as well as our strategic corporate partners. She will also work with our personal lines business to maximise any opportunities for cross-over business.”
