Hardy Underwriting is to establish a new non-marine syndicate for 2007 with a capacity of up to £75m.
The company said that it has appointed Patrick Gage, previously at syndicate 1301 which is managed by Chaucer Syndicates Ltd, as active underwriter for the new syndicate.
It added that it intends to recruit a team of underwriters to support Gage in the new syndicate, which will operate independently from Hardy syndicate 382.
