Richard Harvey, group chief executive of CGNU, was less than charitable to his interviewer on BBC Business Breakfast last Thursday after she questioned the choice of name for the recently-merged super-insurer.
Quizzing Harvey about the company's good interims, she asked whether he would change the name of the company because it was “a bit of a mouthful”.
Harvey, speaking in a huddle with his directors later in the day before presenting the interims to the City, chuckled: “I thought, you silly woman.”
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
