Healix International lands medical claims management contract with airline

Medical services provider, Healix International, has secured a new two year contract to provide medical claims management to the Virgin Atlantic flight crew.

The new contract aims to ensure that the company’s travellers and 4,000 strong flight and cabin crew receive advice and care in the case of any medical emergency while they are working away from home.

“The wellbeing of our employees is absolutely fundamental to us delivering a fantastic service to our customers”, said James Couch of Virgin Atlantic.

“And this new arrangement with Healix International gives us the confidence of knowing that we are doing everything possible to look after employees wherever they are in the world.

"If an employee falls ill or has an accident whilst abroad, they will have access to high quality medical expertise 24/7 as well as a specialist network of medical providers and facilities and of course, repatriation services where needed.”

Healix International sales & marketing director, Steve Hook, added: “Operating thousands of flights a year, Virgin Atlantic needed a medical claims management solution that would ensure all employees were well cared for, but also one that managed costs without compromising on that care.

“We feel absolutely certain that our international expertise coupled with medical knowledge will achieve both those goals.”
