New Leeds boss appointed to replace John Dakin

David Fryer has been appointed to head up Heath Lambert's Leeds office.

He is replacing John Dakin who has decided to switch to the broker's national corporate team.

Fryer joined Heath Lambert 18 months ago from Leeds-based broker Henderson.

In his new role, Dakin will focus on large accounts in Yorkshire and corporate relationships in the surrounding Leeds area.

Dakin said: “Having accomplished my three year objective of significantly growing the Leeds revenue and turning the office into profit, I expressed a wish to relinquish my head of office role.

“I am excited by this new challenge to embed the new national corporate team in the northeast region. Heath Lambert’s exceptional service, expertise and leverage with local and national insurance markets will allow us to grow rapidly.”

Fryer added: “The quality of our people and the loyalty shown by our clients, in recognition of that fact, shall stand us well in our desire to become the No1 broker of choice throughout the Yorkshire region.”

“Heath Lambert has a strong market position in the region and our relationships with partner insurers will help expand the client base into, and beyond, 2011.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
