Heath Lambert extends deal with industrial firm BSS

Heath Lambert has won the contract to provide all general insurance cover for industrial and domestic services giant BSS Group.

The BSS Group has over 100 years heritage manufacturing and supplying heating and plumbing equipment for both industrial and domestic appliances. Its revenues in 2009 reached £1.3bn and it employs 4,500 staff in the UK and Ireland.

Heath Lambert has now extended this contract to provide cover for all its commercial insurances including property, transport, and major liabilities such as employers’ liability (EL) and public liability (PL).

Heath Lambert managing director of clients and development Alan Pratten said: "We are delighted to have won the insurance broking appointment to BSS Group plc, against stiff competition. I am also pleased to build on our relationship with BSS and its workforce to offer a holistic risk management programme for the future.”

BSS Group chief financial officer Roddy Murray added: "We decided to move from our existing brokers to Heath Lambert because the team demonstrated a thoughtful challenge of our risk programme while listening to our requirements and delivered great pricing - we look forward to working with the team."
