Galbraith praises award winners

Two brokers were given high praise when Biba held a special awards ceremony at the opening of the conference to celebrate the industry’s high achievers.

Neil Grimshaw of Ravenhall Risk Solutions was named Young Broker of the Year. Grimshaw, a three-times winner at the Insurance Times awards, was recognised for his “outstanding achievements including success in setting up his own brokerage”.

John Miller of Bluefin Group was the winner of the Francis Perkins Award in recognition of his “longstanding dedication and commitment to the furtherance of the association”. Miller has held a number of posts on Biba’s central committee.

Biba chief executive, Eric Galbraith said: “I was delighted by the high calibre of the entries that we received for the two awards and I’m honoured to be able to recognise both an experienced and valued member alongside tomorrow’s stars of insurance broking.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
