New team expected to boost product range.
International specialist insurer Hiscox has announced the formation of a specialist reinsurance and insurance team.
The team will be based in Bermuda, Philadelphia and London and will be led by Bob Forness. Forness, who will join from the Imagine Group where he was chief underwriting officer, comes on board on 1 September.
The company said the new team will enable Hiscox to grow its product range to include custom risk reinsurance, specialising in corporates, captives and risk retention groups.
The new lines of business will add to the company’s existing portfolio of property catastrophe business already underwritten in Hiscox Bermuda and London.
