Former Hiscox partnerships head joins Synergy in HNW role

Synergy Insurance Services (UK) has appointed Giles Fairmann as business development director.

Fairmann, who has over 15 years’ experience in the high net worth market, will be responsible for driving Synergy's new business.

He previously spent 10 years at Hiscox where he was most recently head of partnerships for Hiscox UK. Prior to Hiscox, he worked for Chubb Insurance in the UK and Australia.

Mark Weinberg, chairman of Synergy Insurance (Holdings), said: “I am delighted that Giles has joined Synergy. His experience will be invaluable alongside our talented underwriting team as we look to increase our penetration in the high net worth market.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
